The prospect of these investors buying up one of Elon Musk\u2019s favourite cryptos pushed SHIB\u2019s price beyond several short-term resistance lines.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Attention was first drawn to the listing following a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/crypto_alerting\/status\/1513824849185095685?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1513824849185095685%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ibtimes.com%2Frobinhood-finally-lists-shiba-inu-causes-major-surge-shib-price-3471233\">Tweet<\/a> yesterday, 12th April, from Cryptocurrency Alerting, a live crypto exchange monitor, which stated: \u201cWe&#8217;ve detected that SHIBA INU $SHIB has been listed on Robinhood!\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Robinhood prides itself on low entry costs and commissions free crypto trading, which makes it particularly appealing to individual investors who often purchase fractional tokens and shares.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despite the good news for SHIB holders, the rest of the cryptocurrency market, including the OG token Bitcoin (BTC), has been suffering consecutive red days.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Green SHIB In A Sea Of Red&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SHIB\u2019s spike has cooled off since yesterday as traders moved in to take profits following the spike; nonetheless, the token is up around 7% in the last 24 hours and over 20% on the monthly chart, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/en\/coins\/shiba-inu\">CoinGecko<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">BTC has been struggling after it failed to break above the $47K resistance line last week; as of writing, BTC is trading below $40K and is down over 12% in seven days.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">BTC did bounce off its multi-week low of $39k yesterday, but since then, the bears appear to have retaken control as price action continues to form negative patterns.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">BTC isn\u2019t the only major cryptocurrency experiencing selling pressure over the last seven days.
