BTCB to XMR Exchange

Bitcoin BEP20 (BTCB) is a BNB Chain token issued by Binance, pegged 1:1 to Bitcoin and backed by BTC in Binance's reserves. BTCB gives BNB Chain users exposure to Bitcoin's price while keeping funds on a fast, low-fee network — but BTCB transactions are fully transparent on-chain and the token is custodial: Binance retains the ability to freeze or restrict BTCB holdings under applicable terms.
A BTCB to XMR conversion exits that transparent, custodial environment and delivers Monero — a Layer-1 proof-of-work cryptocurrency where transaction amounts, senders, and recipients are hidden by default through RingCT, ring signatures, and stealth addresses. The XMR receiving leg is the primary time variable. Monero produces a block approximately every 2 minutes, and most partners wait for 10 confirmations — about 20 minutes — before the received XMR becomes spendable in your wallet. Total swap time under normal conditions is 25–35 minutes. During periods of elevated Monero network activity, some partners temporarily increase their confirmation threshold, extending the wait.
Monero does not require a memo, payment tag, or destination tag. A standard Monero wallet address (approximately 95 characters) is all the partner needs on the receiving side. Make sure you have a self-custodied Monero wallet ready before initiating the swap — the 25-minute wait begins immediately after you send BTCB.

• Sending native BTC instead of BTCB. BTC and BTCB are different assets on different networks. BTCB is a BEP-20 token on BNB Chain (contract 0x7130d2A12B9BCbFAe4f2634d864A1Ee1Ce3Ead9c). Native Bitcoin operates on its own blockchain. Sending native BTC to a BTCB deposit address on BNB Chain will not reach the partner. Confirm the asset and network in your wallet before sending.
• Not having a Monero wallet ready before initiating. Monero wallets take a few minutes to set up and sync. Starting the swap without a destination address means you cannot complete the order. Set up and back up your Monero wallet before you begin.
• Selecting a partner with a high KYC likelihood without reading the label. A partner marked Often may request identity documents after your BTCB deposit arrives. XMR swaps attract more AML attention than most pairs. Check the KYC label on each offer before selecting, especially if a verification delay during a 25+ minute swap is unacceptable to you.
• Expecting Monero to arrive quickly. XMR requires approximately 20 minutes of confirmation time after the partner broadcasts. If the Swapzone order tracker shows BTCB received and being processed, the swap is working — the Monero wait is built into the protocol.
